One thing is sure about video games – they are addictive – no matter your age.
Once you start playing them, there is no turning back until you clear up all the levels. The gamers live in a whole different world, and they are appreciated by the gaming industry people for the same.
Yes, that’s true. Gamers get a whole lot of respect by the gaming brands. And why not, after all, they spend the majority of the hours in a day playing their games. If you don’t believe me then brace yourself, the story I am going to share might sweep you off your feet.
If you are familiar with Audrey, the 87-year-old internet-famous grandma, then you probably know what she has done to become an internet sensation. If you don’t, I will tell you.
Last year, Audrey’s grandson found out that she has a thing for Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Leaf game. A game designer himself, Audrey’s grandson, Paul Humans, shared her love for the game on his Twitter handle.
Since then, she has gone viral. Her love for the Nintendo game is so much so that she’s hooked to it all the time, spending an incredible 3580 hours playing the game. And don’t forget, this was last year. God knows how much that number has shot up till now.
According to her grandson, Audrey fell ill and spent the later months playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
Her dedication towards the game might have touched the people at Nintendo because they have honored her devotion by naming a character after her in the new game. How cool is that? There’s a brand-new villager in the latest version of the game who goes by the name – Audie.
While you may think that Audie/Audrey might be a bit of a stretch, I would like to tell you that she goes by the name Audie in New Leaf.
What do you think of it? Do you want a character in a video game named after you?
