Cadbury has crowned the brand’s newest mascot and it is such a good boy.
The maker of iconic candies shaped like egg announced on Tuesday the winner of Cadbury Bunny Tryouts that saw submissions from above 4,000 adorable animals from cats and dogs to horses and pigs.
The crown went to Lieutenant Dan ultimately, a 2-legged puppy who roams around with the aid of a wheelchair. The company shared on Instagram a fancy video that starts with drumroll and curtains remove to reveal the winner.
It thanked everyone for participating and voting during 2020 Cadbury Tryouts and announced that its new bunny is none other than Lieutenant Dan.
According to the bio posted by Cadbury at the time of the voting period, the two-legged dog was described as an animal with a big personality that loves to show off and lives in New Richmond, Ohio.
The company wrote that the doggo cannot help but make everyone around him smile as well as feel inspired when he is around them.
In his free time, he loves to run, wrestle, swim, and hike. And after a long and tiring day, the dog likes to unwind with the classic treat, which is peanut butter.
One of the members of Cadbury Brand Team, Ethan Mandel, said that the quality and quantity of entries they received for Cadbury Bunny Tryouts in 2020 just blew them away.
The newly crowned bunny will star in 2020 Cadbury Clucking Bunny advertisement and get $5,000 from the brand. Cadbury will donate $10,000 to the ASPCA or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the name of the winner.
Last year, when the bran held its 2019 Bunny Tryouts, the Cadbury Bunny was Henri the Bulldog.
