Amidst the lockdown, a herd of deer was seen making the most of the quiet street as they decided to take a stroll in London, UK.
The animals were seen treading towards the Housing Estate in Harold Hill, where they were seen relaxing on different grass patches. The herd strolled from nearby Dagnam Park, which is across the estate, that has been in the area for over 1000 years.
While deers were seen around the homes in the past, locals said that they have started to come here more often than ever due to the street being free of any traffic.
Residents also said that not only the number of deers are increasing day by day, they are also coming closer to the homes.
Dean Zetter (50) who was working in the area said that he was surprised to see a herd of 20 deer just sitting on the grass.
The council street inspector said that he came across to deer just chilling on the grass.
Residents, even the ones with dogs allow them to be, and the dogs did not even bark or startle them.
The inspector said that it was a beautiful sight to start the day with. While they are seen here quite often, lately they have started coming in large numbers.
The inspector said that they are simply lying there, perhaps because it has become quieter now.
Other countries are also noticing some unexpected effects of quarantining as well. In Venice, Italy, people have reported that the water in the canals has become clearer, making its wildlife more visible.
A video was seen on the social media where schools of tiny fishes could be seen under the water surface of the canals that were previously clouded with dirt and debris. Owing to the quarantine, the planet is experiencing a cleaner environment.
