This art-loving couple put a smile on many people’s faces after they created a small yet beautiful art gallery for their pet gerbils.
Filippo Lorenzin and his girlfriend, Marianna (both 30-year old), are an Italian couple who lives in London.
Lorenzin works at the Victoria and Albert Museum situated in South Kensington. However, similar to other public places and cultural sites, the museum has been shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Just like many us, he is also stuck at home, but he decided to pass his time by bringing a little culture for Pandoro and Tiramisu, the nine-month sold gerbil brothers by creating a small gallery exhibit. As an individual who loves art exhibitions, he knew what to do.
In an interview, he said that people not only spend a lot of time enjoying the artwork, but also the quality of various display props like QR codes to communicate with visitors, wall labels, gallery assistant’s stools, etc.
When they planned this tiny gallery, the couple enjoyed making teeny-tiny versions of the gallery props.
The couple started by making basic gallery accessories like small benches and wall labels for the art that came with QR code.
The real work came when they began working on art. Initially, the couple planned to make less famous paintings. But then they thought that it would be more fun to do famous and recognizable paintings.
They selected four world-reckoned paintings and added a gerbil twist to them.
It took four hours to put everything together, and the end result was worthwhile. However, Pandora and Tiramisu were not humble gallery guests, and completely ignored the sign- “Please do not chew.”
These guests were more interested in chewing off the furniture and information instead of enjoying the art.
