A 22-year-old woman weighed 20st 2lb as she would eat takeaways as midnight meals and 42 packets of crisps a week.
When Kaitlin Liney visited her GP, she was told she was overweight and could suffer a heart attack.
Kaitlin told the food was her weakness and she would eat cheese and onion Walkers crisps, sweets, takeaways, chocolate, and biscuits.
She said: “It’s crazy to think about how many packets of crisps I used to get through — I was definitely addicted. I would feel permanently starving and food was my weakness.”
Kaitlin told she was always overweight but during GCSEs, her eating went out of control and she ballooned to 20st.
However, after she was told she could suffer a heart attack because of her weight, she decided to make changes in her diet.
She said: “I was told I was morbidly obese and at high risk of a heart attack, diabetes and more — it was a huge wake-up call.”
Her family also told her she was overweight and she needed to change her lifestyle. After two weeks, Kaitlin began eating healthier food, started Slimming World and joined a gym.
She started with light cardio and within six months, she lost over 5st and went from 20st to 15st.
Kaitlin also gave up takeaways and her favorite crisps and began eating healthy food.
She said: “I swapped crisps for apples whenever I had a craving. Sometimes the cravings were so strong I’d be having a fight with myself in my head.”
Within 18 months, Kaitlin lost 9st and is now 11st.
She now feels much better and confident about herself. Her incredible transformation took 18 months but she finally managed to achieve her target weight.
She said: “When I saw I’d reached my target weight, I screamed. I feel so much better about myself.”
