Dr.
Jane Goodall who is a famed conservationist and friend of Prince Harry revealed that The Duke is finding his new life “a bit challenging” after moving from Vancouver Island to Los Angeles.
The 88-year-old primatologist and anthropologist said that she has “been in touch” with Harry and she feels he needs to make some changes in his life. As per The Guardian, she told the Radio Times: “I don’t know how his career is going to map out, but yes, I’ve been in touch, though I think he’s finding life a bit challenging just now.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially stepped down from their roles as senior members of the royal family on March 31, 2020. The couple then moved to Vancouver Island but they decided to fly to Los Angeles during coronavirus pandemic.
Jane also talked about the hunt of William and Harry as she feels the latter will stop hunting because Meghan doesn’t like it. She spoke about the sibling’s support for nature conservation saying, “Yes, except they hunt and shoot. But I think Harry will stop because Meghan doesn’t like hunting, so I suspect that is over for him.”
Harry and Meghan are currently practicing social distancing with their son Archie and they are positive about the future. A source told People Magazine, “Like everyone, they are adjusting to [social distancing], being cautious and safe.”
“Despite all the uncertainty surrounding global events, “they are positive about the future,” the source added. “It is exciting for them to mark the end of the transition and the official start of their new chapter.”
Dr. Jane has previously opened up about Harry who had decided to step down from his royal duties months before he made the announcement. Last summer, she visited Harry and Meghan and recalled their conversation.
She told Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine: “At the end of the conversation Meghan Markle came in to listen with Archie. He was very tiny and very sleepy, not too pleased to be passed from his mommy.”
She made Archie “do the Queen’s wave” and Harry’s response indicated that they have made a decision to leave the royal family. “I suppose he’ll have to learn this,” she recalled. “Harry said, ‘’No, he’s not growing up like that.”
