Chloe is a 5-year-old adorable Chihuahua who is living in a shelter currently.
The poor dog had a loving owner who lost his life to coronavirus leaving his baby alone.
She was brought to MSPCA-Angell’s Boston Adoption Center after she was rescued from her house in Brockton, Massachusetts. The little baby was told to be shy and friendly.
When she arrived at the adoption center the caretakers found out that she had a plate attached to her leg from a surgery that happened back in 2016.
The plate was supposed to be taken out after the injury had healed but it was left inside. Now the caretakers fear that it can have a serious impact on her health.
The impact can be so serious that she may have to have her leg amputated so that there is no infection caused.
Anna Rafferty-Arnold, the associate director Boston adoption center of MSPCA’s says that they have scheduled an X-ray for Chloe.
They will check if the plate can be removed with surgery without causing any infection or harm to her. If that won’t be not possible, they will have to amputate her leg to keep her alive.
The cost of the surgery will be paid by MSPCA.
The situations are tough for the organization. With the pandemic, the staff has been on the lower side. There are very fewer volunteers and staff members working due to safety measures.
The organization is also facing a surge in economic conditions right now. This can come out as a serious problem in the near future.
MSPCA is actively looking for people who would wish to adopt Chloe as she is an adorable little baby girl. If you wish to adopt her, you can directly contact this number 617-522-5055.
We hope she finds a second chance at life with a family that gives her all the love that she deserves.
