Linsey and Bri were always touted as an impulsive couple.
The duo planned the first date after they matched in a dating site 12 hours before, and they were in a relationship after spending three days together.
Post their engagement; the couple had set a wedding date on April 10, 2020. The wedding destination was a popular hotel in Austin, Texas, where the couple lives.
37-year old Lindsey said that they had planned everything, and were supposed to get married on April 10 on Good Friday because there is no better way to celebrate Easter than attending a lesbian wedding.
However, when Austin decided to shut down the public places weeks prior to their wedding, the couple had to reduce their guest list from 50 to 10 people. By now they were quite clear their wedding will not go as planned.
When the pandemic issue got severe, the couple decided that they do not want to wait for a long time to get married. So their wedding planner came up with a unique idea.
Lindsey said that their wedding planner had a crazy idea of arranging the marriage at a drive-in movie theatre. She said that it suits the couple and they should go for it.
However, their local drive-in theater was not open, so they had to search around the town.
Finally, they found one near Buda, Texas, located south of Austin. The theatre was open because it served food; therefore, it was considered among the essential businesses.
Bri said when the couple asked the theatre owner whether they could get married here, they immediately got the approval.
Despite such unconventional circumstances, the close family and friends of the couple were delighted to be a part of the wedding. The drive-in had a 90-car limit, and the couple had 85 cars, and the guest remained in their cars during the ceremony.
