British Olympian swimmer Rebecca Adlington has formed a full house, something that can’t be imagined easily, that is: She lives with her ex-husband, boyfriend and a very close male best friend during this lockdown.
The 31-year-old has invited Harry Needs, former husband of hers, to move in with her during the trying times in which she’s already formed a partnership with the current husband Andrew Parsons. The insiders told the press that this was to facilitate the bond between the former husband and their daughter Summer, who has turned four. This is after their divorce in 2016, which happened after about 18 months of marriage. Adlington started an open relationship with the current partner Parsons since 2018.
They said: ‘Their arrangement is very amicable and they’re doing what’s best for Summer.
They still get on really well despite their split, so why not? And Harry’s friend Michael is close with the others too.
They’re all really enjoying each other’s company and, what with their shared interest in swimming, it was a no-brainer.’
Harry Needs has come out on social media about this rather jarring set-up, saying that: ‘Couldn’t wish to be stuck at home with a better bunch of people, so glad my bestie had a birthday to remember.’ Michael – himself a competitive swimmer – also appeared on MTV’s The Bi Life in 2018 with Michael Gunning, the couple’s best friend.
The rather scandalous meet-up was first revealed when the current couple went to The Wanted singer Tom Parker and Kelsey Hardwick’s wedding together in July.
Rebecca recently told OK! magazine that her partner is now coping up and keeping up with her daughter, and that there is absolutely no worries despite the fact that her daughter still hasn’t grasped the concept of boyfriend or girlfriend: ‘They really get on – it’s cute.
Summer doesn’t really understand what husbands and boyfriends are but she says, ”Mummy and Andy kiss!”‘
She also said this about her ex Harry, still defending their relationship as something of a very close mutual one, and that there should be no concerns: ‘I’m so grateful that we’ve remained close; he’s a fantastic dad. I think the reason we get on so well is because Summer comes first for us.’
