Katy Perry who is expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom opened up about being locked down at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 35-year-old singer participated in the SHEIN Together Virtual Festival to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts and spoke about her pregnancy. Katy said she has “good days” and other “where I cry when I look down at my toes or I cry when just doing simple tasks.”
“I think a lot of that is hormonal and I’m not used to being around so many people all in a confined [or] a small space for so long. I’m used to going [out] all the time.”
The singer quipped, “If you love me during quarantine, you will love me any other time. You can’t hide your foot fungus. This is me! You can’t hide anything!”
Katy who is self-isolating with Orlando admitted the upcoming baby is already giving her a tough time as a mom. She added, “She is giving me the middle finger, she is definitely starting to chatter.”
She recently told Extra that she has formed a stronger bond than before with her family, however, there are days when she feels like crying for being locked in the house for so long.
Katy said: “Even though I can get highly annoyed by being quarantined with my family in close quarters, I feel we’ve laid a new foundation within our family.
“There’s a bond that’s even stronger. We have some horrible days where I want to cry, but I believe when we look back at this, for myself, it will be this beautiful bond that we created.”
Katy first revealed about her pregnancy to fans in March and recently shared the gender of her baby as she shared a photo of her fiancé covered in pink cream and captioned it, ? It’s a girl ?.”
A source told PEOPLE the couple are excited to become parents of a baby girl saying, “They love that they have this amazing, positive thing to focus on right now. It’s such a happy distraction for them.”
