Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter, Tallulah Willis has revealed why she stopped talking to her mother for three years and how they reconciled.
On Mother’s Day, Tallulah shared an Instagram post revealing why she didn’t talk to her mum for three years.
The 26-year-old shared a picture of herself with her mother Demi and wished everyone a Happy Mother’s Day.
Tallulah and Demi started drifting apart after Demi’s marriage to Ashton Kutcher. Tallulah felt abandoned and forgotten after Demi and Ashton’s marriage.
Previously, Tallulah said: “Watching the behavior with Ashton those years — because everyone left the house and it was just me living there — I felt very forgotten and I felt like I developed and I nurtured a narrative that she didn’t love me.”
However, after Demi and Ashton’s split in 2013, Tallulah’s relationship with her mother changed.
In the emotional Instagram post, Tallulah revealed how she teared up after hearing Mother’s Day adverts on the radio.
She wrote: ‘I digested the entire celebratory nature of the day as an insensitive slight to MY pain and MY story.’
‘However, my story changed. Through a metamorphosis of inward self-reflection and malleability to forgive, 3 years did not stretch to forever. The gratitude of that truth has never lost its potency.’
Her relationship with her mum changed after she forgave her and they now feel more connected.
She also said she would have loved to meet her mum at 26 as they’d have a lot of laughter.
Tallulah thanked her mother and told her she loves her despite having differences in the past.
She concluded her post: ‘I revel in all that you are @demimoore and all that you continue to teach me. Every nook and cranny of you are worthy and gilded. I love you.’
The emotional post touched everyone’s heart and received more than 24k likes.
Demi is currently in isolation with her ex-husband Bruce Willis and their children.
