Singing Legend Tina Turner is back after she ‘happily retired’ from the music industry last year.
The 80-year-old singer came out of retirement to work with DJ Kygo on a remix of her popular 1984 song ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?’.
The Norwegian producer announced the amazing news himself with a photo of them together, showing that the remix of the iconic track will be available soon.
DJ Kygo wrote: “Can’t believe I’m releasing a collab with @LoveTinaTurner this Friday! ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’ is one of my all time favorite songs.”
He added: “and it feels surreal to get the opportunity to work with such a legendary artist.”
The producer made music history in 2019 when his remix of Whitney Houston’s cover Higher Love made it on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Turner and Kygo could be hoping to make the same magic on their new collaboration.
A spokesperson for the singer has previously confirmed that Turner is ‘happily retired’ but it seems she has come out of retirement as they posed in a promotional picture together for the upcoming track.
One internet user commented: “You’re looking fantastic Tina. Now is the time to sit back and enjoy your life. But we sure do miss you.”
Another wrote: “she looks phenomenal – fantastic talent, and a woman you just want to root for. Even her hands look great, and they are usually a dead giveaway for aging. Good for you, Ms Turner!!”
A third said: “Marvelous voice, amazing concerts! Great on the big screen including, “Well, aint we a pair, raggedy man. Goodbye soldier.” And she’s not done yet!”
