A shocking confession that apparently suggests that he killed a man in his younger days has put World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Superstar Marty Jannetty in potential trouble, as the police began investigating if Jannetty’s claims had any truth behind it.
In a Facebook post that has since been deleted, the former Intercontinental and Tag Team champion suggested that he “got rid of a man” when he was 13 year old boy working at a bowling alley.
According to Jannetty’s post, he said that even his brother doesn’t know of this story. The former wrestler said he knew if his brother got hang of the story, he would take the matter into his own hands and put him in trouble. Jannetty added that his brother just came back from Vietnam.
Jannetty claims that another worker who worked there, who he described using a derogatory term that refers to LGBTQ individuals, took him behind the bowling alley. He implied that the older worker had malignant intentions when calling him to a dark alley.
Shockingly, the former member of the Rockers claimed that he “made the man disappear”, which by the context of the usage suggests murder. Jannetty said that it was the first time he did so, which may imply that he has committed further murders down the line.
Nevertheless, he suggested that “they” – unclear in the post but seemingly referring to the police – should have looked in the Chattahoochee river. The rest of the post rambles on about a girl called Winnie and how he was hurt by her jealousy.
The Chattahoochee river that he refers to does sound credible, as Jannetty is known to be a native of Columbus, Georgia where the river does flow through.
According to a TMZ report, the police have heeded to Jannetty’s calls and have launched an investigation over the wrestler’s allegations. A police spokesperson said that the initial steps will be to see if any missing or unsolved cases match Jannetty’s narrative.
However, since the alleged murder took place around 1973, the spokesperson said other homicide cases will be dealt with more importance. This recent fiasco adds on his online rants and cries for help, such as one last year when he spoke out about his alcohol and sex addiction.
