Sacha Baron Cohen is an actor who knows no boundaries, not just in the versatile array of characters that he so masterfully delves in, but in political and sexual subject that he tends to brazenly display in his works.
He and his controversial personas have been the subject of quite the stir for the past two decades, with one standing taller than any other: Borat, the Kazakh journalist leading a clueless life in the USA. But that was 2006, almost a decade and a half ago. But recent sightings that went on TikTok has caught Cohen in the ‘act’ again, with his unmistakable mustache. It is now effectively surmised that Cohen is preparing for a shoot of a sequel to Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan.
The TikTok user who got him on camera put in the caption: ‘Borat filming spotted in #longbeach [eye emojis]#losangeles #blockbuster.’ And fans were both in jubilee and yet somehow wary state.
One Twitter user, in his retweet, cared to put some of his skepticism about the politically don’t-give-a-damn attitude Borat has:’People are gonna get Borat cancelled in this day and time.
’ Another agreed: ‘Borat is gonna get cancelled so goddamn fast.
’ Some reminisced about the old days: ‘Forgot how funny Borat is this movie would totally get canceled in 2020 though. ’The comedy satire has earned an Oscar nomination for best adapted screenplay.
The plot is a mock ‘documentary’ about Borat crossing the Pacific to find a livelihood in the States while trying to marry Pamela Anderson along the way.
Taking offense at the actor’s choice of his persona’s nationality, Kazakhstan banned showing the film in cinema and also its sales of DVD.Ironically, in 2012, Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov thanked Sacha for increasing tourism to the country, as many viewers took curiosity of a rather unknown ex-Soviet nation in the middle of Asia.
Borat has appeared in broadcast along the way since 2006, most notably in 2018 where he used his voice to promote voting in the US.
He wrote: ‘I voted, Great Success’ while holding someone else’s identification card with an ‘I’ve voted’ sticker affixed to his suit.
Borat also said on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show that ‘it’s up to Kazakhstan to swing the election for Premier Trump’ and knocking over a ‘polling place’ sign.If you liked this article, please LIKE SHARE AND COMMENT below! And don’t forget to check our other articles along the way!
