The growl of Batman will be ringing throughout cinematic Gotham in a year’s time, and the new protagonist for the franchise will be played by none other than Robert Pattinson, former beau of Kristen Stewart and has taken the protagonist role of the vampire franchise Twilight series.
The new trailer for the reborn Batman came out on Saturday at the DC FanDome, a virtual event where DC unveiled their vision for future superhero characters. In the new trailer, Pattinson is heard growling : “I’m vengeance.” Overall mise-en-scene and the filming atmosphere commanded by the trailer’s director has been immediately commended by DC fans in the Twitterverse.
The new movie “The Batman” has also cast Jeffrey Wright as the police chief James Gordon of Gotham City, and the plot will be the two character’s collaboration in solving a mysterious and grotesque murder case.
“From your secret friend … Let’s play a game, just me and you,” Wright’s Gordon is seen reading the note left at the scene of the crime, which has obviously been addressed to “the Batman.
” Zoë Kravitz, will be playing Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, bringing all the familiar faces in the Batman franchise reappear in the movie set.The trailer alone has garnered 13 million views as of Tuesday, with other following trailers getting similar amount of enthusiasm.
Already, the very dark undertone that has been missing from recent DC movies, as well as the total seriousness that was last observed in Joaquin Phoenix’s take on the Joker can be seen in this trailer, according to comments on Youtube.
