A grandfather attempting to decorate his property was slammed by his neighbor in a cruel letter in which the nosey neighbor accused him of putting up “low-class” decorations and called his home “the laughing joke of the neighborhood.
”
As the Twitter user known as @goIdenstef claimed in her post, her grandfather’s neighbor(s) sent the man a disturbing letter while he was just trying to decorate his house.
In the hateful letter, neighbors signed as “the decent, middle-class people with Class of Thunderbird Hills sub-division” told the Ohio gramps that his home looks like it belongs to a “low-class Mexican family.”
“My wife and I exercise every so oftenby walking around the neighborhood, but each time we walk in front of your house we’ve noticed that you have put up yet another new decoration or ornament in front of your house,” the letter submitted to the grandfather read.
“Oh my God – Enough already. All the people that we know in our neighborhood have commented on the EXCESSIVE decorations in front of your house – and am sorry to say, your house has become, and is, the laughing joke of the neighborhood.
“Some of our friends have even purposefully driven in front of your house just to see how RIDICULOUS all of those decorations look like – and needless to say, they all laugh. All those decorations are in ‘bad taste’ and only goes to prove to everyone that a ‘low class Mexican family’ lives there, or some Gypsy family.”
The letter also went on to slam the pot plants placed on the man’s lawn and the several American flags flying in front of the home.
“Hello? Do you think that’s going to make people think you’re patriotic? Believe me, they will think like we do – at how Ridiculous that looks,” the letter written on a typewriter added.
“Apparently you people must have come here to our neighborhood from the deep West side or the deep South side where all the poor people with no class live. Believe me when I tell you that your house is an EMBARRASSMENT to the neighborhood.”
The neighbor then concluded the letter by suggesting that the grandfather should take a look at other homes in the neighborhood in order “to realize how ridiculous and embarrassing” his house decorations are.
After the hateful rant went viral, people have defended the grandfather whereas some even offered to pay for his security system and send him more decorations for his lawn.
