Animal activists and an animal rights group have called for help in identifying the culprit who painted a stray dog to make it resemble a tiger.
The incident happened in Malaysia where a stray pooch painted to look like a tiger was spotted roaming the streets.
While some people appeared amused by the design after photos of the animal went viral, others quickly called for the person responsible to get arrested for animal abuse.
“Help Animal Malaysia identify the location and who this animal belongs to. A mystery reward awaits those who come forward with complete information on the incident,” the Malaysia Animal Association announced on Facebook.
As seen in the photos, the stray dog was painted orange with black stripes that resemble a tiger’s fur scattered across its body.
Following the incident, some internet users suggested the culprit nailed the design, whereas others argued that the dyes used in the process could potentially be very harmful to the animal.
While animal activists and groups are working to identify the culprit, it isn’t clear whether the police have been involved in the matter.
Anyone with information relevant to the painted dog has been encouraged to reach out to Malaysia Animal Association via WhatsApp hotline +601120901097.
