Katie Price’s son Harvey was rushed to Great Ormond Hospital only hours after receiving coronavirus vaccine.
The 42-year-old star was left ‘fearing’ for her 18-year-old son – who was born with ADHD, Prader-Willi syndrome, and partial blindness – after he was admitted with a temperature of 39.9 degrees, a source revealed.
Harvey, who is on the autism spectrum, has received his first coronavirus vaccine hours before he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors have confirmed that his illness was a reaction to the vaccine.
In an interview with The Sun, a source close to Katie said: “Katie’s in bits, Harvey only had the jab on Friday but now doctors who know Harvey well are telling her he’s had a bad reaction to it – it can’t be anything else.”
“She’s very worried but is trying to remain calm. It’s dangerous as he hasn’t got cortisol in his body to fight like us.”
This comes only hours after Katie announced that Harvey received coronavirus vaccine.
“Harvey was the youngest we saw there it was all smoothly calmly and professionally done,” she told The Sun.
“Harvey was so brave and it was over so quick everybody so helpful. It just felt like being in a film and made you realise more how serious this is.”
According to The Sun, the most common side effects of coronavirus vaccine are flu-like symptoms, a headache, and tiredness.
A safety report by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency also said that some people suffered with fever and arm pain.
But serious reactions to the coronavirus vaccine are rare.
Katie was praised for her recent documentary in which she featured her son. ‘Katie Price: Harvey & Me’ shows the mother-of-five looking for a residential college for the teen.
