New royal conflicts have erupted after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared their private family conversations with a friend.
The Sussexes reportedly told journalist Gayle King that the Duke had spoken to his brother and father after the bombshell Oprah interview.
Only hours later, King revealed on American TV that the “deeply private family conversations” were “not productive.”
Miss King also suggested that the Duchess of Sussex was not happy when no one in the Palace had thought of calling her.
The breakfast show host also said that Meghan had “documents to back up everything she said on Oprah’s interview.”
The Buckingham Palace gave an icy response to the news that the couple decided to reveal private conversations between senior members of the Royal Family.
A senior royal source said, as per Daily Mail: “None of the households – the Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – will be giving a running commentary on private conversations.”
Both the senior officials and the Windsors see it as a betrayal of trust, which is not very helpful when it comes to reconnecting bridges.
When questioned by a reporter on Thursday, Prince William said hat he hadn’t spoken to his brother but promised that he would. He also said that the royals were not racists after Meghan claimed that someone had raised ‘concerns’ about how dark Archie’s skin color would be.
Miss King said she had called Meghan and Harry “over the weekend” and revealed that the couple had told her details of their private conversations.
She told viewers: “Well I’m not trying to break news, but I did actually call them to see how they were feeling, and it’s true, Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father too.
“The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive. But they are glad that they have at least started a conversation.”
