President Joe Biden has vowed to make Vladimir Putin “pay a price” in a fiery interview with ABC News.
Speaking to the network, the 46th US President promised to make the Russian president face consequences for allegedly interfering in the 2020 elections and attempting to ensure Trump’s win.
“He will pay a price,” Biden vowed. “You’ll see shortly,” he added when asked about what the consequences the Russian president will face will encompass.
Amid his fiery words, the president went on to claim that he knows Putin very well before declaring that his Russian competitor doesn’t have a soul.
“I know him relatively well,” Biden said before claiming that, in his experience, “the most important thing” when it comes to dealing with foreign leaders is to know them well.
As Biden acknowledged, he told Putin that he doesn’t have a soul, to which the Russian president allegedly responded by saying: “We understand one another.”
The 46th President went on to call Putin a killer by saying “I do” when the presenter asked him if he believed that the Russian president is a killer.
Biden’s bold and surprising comments follow shortly after a declassified US Director of National Intelligence report claimed Russia’s Putin authorized operations that sought to undermine Biden’s candidacy amid the 2020 presidential election in the States and push Trump towards a win.
As the officials reportedly confirmed, however, the report found no evidence of foreign actors actually disrupting the voting process or altering the votes or results in any way.
“[There are] no indications that any foreign actor attempted to interfere in the 2020 US elections by altering any technical aspect of the voting process, including voter registration, ballot casting, vote tabulation, or reporting results,” the intelligence confirmed despite acknowledging Russia’s alleged threats to undermine Biden.
Following the allegations made by the US intelligence, Russia was quick to deny all accusations of interference and brand the report as “absolutely groundless.”
“It’s regrettable that the beginning of each presidential term in the US seems to be linked to imposing sanctions on Russia,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
