A mother has been accused of injecting her young son with feces to make him stay in the hospital.

The shocking incident takes place in New South Wales, Australia, where an unnamed mother has been charged with injecting her 9-year-old son with feces in order to make him sick.

According to the reports, the mother-of-four has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty despite medical experts insisting that the young boy’s contamination couldn’t be accidental.

The problems began unraveling back in 2014 when the child was admitted to hospital after becoming delirious and developing a fever.

At the time, the boy was allegedly heard accusing his mom of making him sick. “Why are you doing this to me? What did you do to my cannula this time?” the child was heard telling his mom, several nurses confirmed.

Following a series of tests, the doctors discovered the child was infected with E.coli and another organism commonly found in feces.

While the boy’s mother denied injecting feces into her son’s cannula, medical experts insisted that the child’s blood sample results were likely not the result of accidental contamination.

After the mother has been charged with making her son sick on purpose, the court heard that she was sincerely concerned upon the discovery of bacteria in her son’s blood.

The mother’s defense also argued that the poisoning was more likely accidental than deliberate as they blasted the doctors for not getting a second opinion from a microbiologist.

As Doctor Grace Wong, a pediatrician specialist at Sydney’s Westmead Children’s Hospital, insisted, however, an opinion of a microbiologist was not required because it was clear that the boy was most likely injected with fecal matter.

While Wong admitted the child’s cannula wasn’t in “good order” at the time he was admitted to the hospital, the doctor insisted it was unlikely the blockages found in the tube could cause such a severe infection.

As the trial continues, the court has seen a seven-year-old video of a police interview in which the boy claimed he was making things up when he accused his mom of making him sick.

In the police interview, the boy claimed he will “just say random stuff” when his “brain goes all weird.”
