Bobby Brown Jr, the son of singer Bobby Brown, tragically died in his father’s Los Angeles home on November 18 last year.
An autopsy has revealed that the music artist’s son died aged 28 after accidentally overdosing on a cocktail of alcohol, powerful opioid fentanyl, and cocaine.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office released the autopsy report on Monday and it showed that he consumed the deadly mix and Percocet, a prescription pain medication.
Bobby Jr’s death was listed as an accident.
Investigators said after his death that no drugs were discovered at the scene and there were no signs of foul play, according to TMZ.
Brown released a statement one day after his son died, saying: “There are no words to explain the pain. Please keep my family in your prayers at this time.
“Losing my son at this point in our lives has devastated my family.”
Bobby Jr’s girlfriend, 22-year-old Anna Reed, also took to Twitter and wrote: “The heavens gained an angel but I lost my soul mate.”
Days before Bobby Jr died, the rapper told his friends that he was sick and even predicted his death, Daily Mail reported.
Karey Graves, also an artist, told the news outlet that Bobby Jr was coughing intensely before he passed away.
“He told me a long time ago that he was born with a heart condition, and when he called me on Tuesday he was saying how he was sick and how you never know what you’ll die from,” she recalled.
“It was eerie, like he knew something was going to happen, but wouldn’t seek medical help because he has a phobia of hospitals.”
Graves continued: “It sounded like a super bad cold. A heavy voice that sounded congested and I heard him cough intensely too when he got up to get a drink.
“We weren’t on good terms before he reached out and he called me out of the blue after texting me that he NEEDED to talk to me. He hammered in the fact that he loved me and wished we could be together. It was all so weird.”
