Lately, the nation has been experiencing a surge in violent hate crimes and shootings happening in every state, and it is very devastating news to report.
Yet, it continues to spread and harm innocent individuals who have the rights to living.
The suspect who is also a part of the Navy hospital corpsman, 38, recently went on a shooting spree in a business park in Maryland and harmed two people. Authorities tells sources that the man entered a business taking place at Riverside Tech Park. There is no clear motive on the suspect’s end.
The suspect not only shot two people, but drove away to a nearby base, Fort Detrick, where he was shot by base personnel.
The police at Fort Detrick tweets that they “have neutralized an active shooter situation involving an armed gunman and medical lifesaving procedures were initiated. The gunman was pronounced dead at the scene,”
The U.S. Navy released a statement about the active shooter incident that involved U.S. sailors, confirming that the suspect themselves were a part of the Navy medic that was assigned to the base.
The medic, 38, had been suspected once the incident started near the fort. Police were aware that he was on the run since he entered For Derick not long after shooting the two victims. Those who had been shot were sent to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Centre, remaining under critical condition.
It first began on Tuesday morning, authorities had responded to ‘an active shooter in the 8400 block of Progress Drive,’ and the aftermath was ‘very tragic,’
Lando, police officer, tells sources that “It’s happening too frequently. Every time we turn on the TV we’re seeing something like this happening. And now it’s happening in our backyards.”
One of the victims who experienced injuries from the shooting had walked in, looking for help and luckily they were able to assist them while calling the authorities.
There is no clear sign as to why the incident had rose to the surface, and they could not identify the relationship between the suspect and the victims.
