A USPS worker was brutally attacked and dragged around by two furious women who were accused of trying to steal stimulus checks.
The altercation took place in Flint, Michigan, where two women were caught on camera beating a postal worker and pulling her hair while she was struggling to get off the ground.
Filming the assault in River Village Apartments, a man was heard accusing the two attackers of hitting the carrier’s van and trying to steal stimulus checks.
In the disturbing video, the two suspects were seen pulling the deliverywoman’s hair and punching her repeatedly as she desperately fought back. In one instance, one of the women accused the postal worker of attacking her first by shouting: “You hit me first! You hit me first!”
While one onlooker attempted to separate the trio, she backed off as the altercation worsened. Meanwhile, other people were seen gathering at the scene and filming the incident.
After the brawl ended, the authorities arrested one of the women linked to the attack, The Post confirmed.
“We are investigating an assault incident that involved a United States postal worker. An arrest was made and we’re seeking additional warrants for an additional arrest,” Detective Sgt. Tyrone Booth said.
As of this writing, the suspects have yet to be named and the investigation is ongoing. While Booth signaled that an additional arrest is about to take place, the investigators have yet to reveal the motive behind the attack.
Meanwhile, the United States Postal Inspection Service released a statement suggesting “there is no indication this incident was related to the disbursement of the Economic Impact Payments” despite the allegations of the man heard talking in the video.
“The investigation is ongoing,” the service told The Post.
