The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released a heartwarming photo of Prince Philip and the Queen with seven of their great-grandchildren.
The photo, which was taken by Kate Middleton at Balmoral Castle in 2018, shows the Queen holding Prince Louis in her arms and Prince Philip with his arm around Peter Philipps’ daughter Isla.
Princess Charlotte and Prince George can be seen smiling in the photo, while Zara Tindall’s daughters Lena and Mia pose alongside Peter’s elder daughter Savannah.
Prince William and Kate also shared another photo of the Queen and her husband on Instagram.
It showed the couple posing with Prince George and Princess Charlotte during their visit to Balmoral in 2015.
“Today we share, along with Members of the Royal Family, photographs of The Duke of Edinburgh, remembering him as a father, grandfather and great-grandfather,” the caption reads.
This comes after reports that the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge will not meet in person until their grandfather’s funeral.
The adorable photo does not include the three youngest grandchildren, who were born in the last few years.
Harry and Meghan welcomed their son Archie in May 2019, Princess Eugenie delivered Lucas on February 9 this year, and Zara Tindall gave birth to Lucas on March 21.
One person commented: “Beautiful picture. Princess Charlotte is going to be a little star when she starts older. She’s got a little sas going on. I love the soft colours o the children and the Queen and HRH Prince Philip look marvellous.”
