This father and son were out and about on their usual, walking around together before a car comes crashing near them at a dangerous speed.
The incident was reported to be on a busy street, located in St. Petersburg, Russia, last April 14.
Video footage reveals the exact moments of the duo leaving the grocery store that they were at, standing on the pavement before the car comes in. With quick reflexes, the father grabs his son and runs to the side, a heroic action as the car crashes into the complex they originally came from.
The car starts to lose control, backing up into inanimate objects and had been stuck in the “acceleration” mode while trying to reverse out of their parking spot.
The driver originally tries to drive up and onto the pavement, but fails to stop reversing and crashing onto the sidewalk instead, almost hitting the pair. There might have been tragedies that ensued if the accident did hit the couple, but fortunately, they were safe.
After the father picks up his kid and runs away from the oncoming car, it crashes into the building just a second after he runs away. The moment is terrifying, but is avoided due to the father’s quick reflexes.
The father and son are saved and unharmed, resulting in moments of relief for those individuals involved in the incident. The airbags in the car are released and bystanders start to rush in order to help the driver that was inside the car.
Someone who witnessed the car crash inside the grocery store started to help, startled from the incident that had just happened. Sources are unsure if anyone else was injured in the accident, including the driver. The footage soon became viral and the father was praised for saving his kid under quick reflexes.
People comment, “Great grab, Dad!” But in contrast, another user comments, “The question is: why do cars go in reverse with such speed?’
