Courtney Stodden claims that Chrissy Teigen ‘would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself’ after Teigan had insulted the singer in 2011.
The 26-year-old songstress and model, who came out as non-binary last month and shared their new pronouns, they/their/them, made the claim in an interview with The Daily Beast.
“She wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die,’” Stodden claims.
Teigen’s 2011 Twitter post to Stodden reads: “My Friday fantasy: you. dirt nap. mmmmmm baby.”
A ‘dirt nap’ refers to a dead person’s burial.
In another tweet, Teigen told Stodden: “go. to sleep. forever.”
It is not clear what triggered John Legend’s wife to make those remarks.
It was in 2011 when Stodden first found fame after tying the knot with actor Doug Hutchison.
In March this year, the model called Teigen out for being a hypocrite for leaving social media over negative comments as she herself had made such appalling comments towards them.
Stodden also unearthed Teigen’s 2011 tweet which read: “Saying Courtney Stodden’s FB age got shut down for being too sexy is like saying the Nazi’s were just meanies.
As in, not quite.”
The model told TMZ that Teigen has never contacted her to make amends.
In the interview with Daily Beast, the 26-year-old singer talked about how they faced insults from Courtney Love and Joy Behar of The Views, saying: “There were a lot of celebrities acting like playground bullies. Some of the worst treatment I got was from women.
“Joy Behar had a field day with calling me a ‘slut.’ Courtney Love told me I was a ‘whore.’ People came out of the woodwork to beat up on a kid because she was in a situation that she shouldn’t have been in,” she claimed.
Stodden shared how she was left feeling suicidal during those dark moments in her life, saying: “There have probably been five times that I’ve felt like I wanted to kill myself—and made the actions to go ahead and do it. So, there’s been a lot of dark moments in my life.”
