Star comedian Jimmy Kimmel is causing an uproar amongst fellow American citizens after he referred to Florida as a sunshine state that was America’s North Korea.

It is without a doubt that Florida’s Governor, Ron DeSantis, continues to be a hot topic and a huge favorite when it comes to jokes across the board on social media. However, it now appears the Jimmy Kimmel may have gone one step too far with this particular one, causing fury and offense to plenty of Americans around the globe.

But why is Ron DeSantis such a huge favorite is a question that many citizens ask till today? Well, a major part of it has to do with how he managed to keep Florida completely open during the pandemic as if nothing took place!

Hence, ABC’s late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel thought it was alright for him to poke fun at Florida’s Governor as well as the Sunshine State too, but little did he realize the consequences of his actions.

Kimmel is now facing major backlash over the incident that took place on Friday night. But what exactly did he say that has so many people in absolute fury?

The celeb late-night show host mentioned those lines, right before he introduced a video featuring the governor from Florida starting his 2021 Python Challenge. This event takes place annually, challenging participants to make an effort to remove Burmese pythons.

But if you think people found the absurd link funny, think again. Kimmel was slammed for his inappropriate context with many claiming how he was an added figure who continued to spread nothing but hateful ignorance, time and time again.
