Meghan Markle, 39, will issue a rebuttal of a series of claims that she ‘bullied’ former royal aides.
According to The Mirror, the Duchess of Sussex demands Buckingham Palace hand over a ‘point by point’ breakdown of the allegations.
The former actress hasn’t yet been formally interviewed over the allegations but people close to her have suggested the two sides are going for a ‘brutal showdown.’
According to the news outlet, ‘at least 10’ former palace staff are ‘queuing up’ to provide assistance to an independent inquiry set up in the wake of the allegations.
An insider close to the inquiry reportedly said: “The feeling is this is heading for a brutal showdown between the Duchess of Sussex who is understood to be disputing all allegations labelled against her.
“The Palace is taking each and every allegation very seriously and wants to get to the truth of the matter and ensure those speaking up deserve to be heard.”
“But Meghan is adamant the staff were not up to their job and could not deal with the pressure of working for her and understanding how she wanted things to run,” the source continued.
This comes after a series of allegations in a new edition of the book Battle of Brothers by Robert Lacey, who gives historical assistance for Netflix’s The Crown.
The royal author claimed that Prince William decided to separate his household from Prince Harry after he heard of the Duchess of Sussex’s behavior to royal staffers.
When confronted by a senior aide because of her treatment of staff, Meghan is said to have replied ‘it’s not my job to coddle people,’ Lacey claims.
