Adam Sandler returned to IHOP in Long Island to surprise the waitress who did not recognize him and begged him to come back in a viral TikTok video.

The 54-year-old actor posted in the restaurant’s parking lot with Dayanna Rodas, who said: “Couldn’t have been more excited! Thank you Adam Sandler!”

The Independent Spirit Award winner and the teen wore official IHOP face masks as they posed for a photo.

IHOP arranged a large table with smoothies in honor of Milkshake Monday, Sandler’s idea (after joking on social media) and $1 (up to $50,000) for every shake sold was donated to Comedy Gives Back charity.

Sandler took to Twitter and shared a photo of his English Bulldog Babu at the one-day event, writing: “Thank u IHOP for Milkshake Monday!”

None of these great things would’ve been possible without the 17-year-old, who begged the actor to ‘please come back’ after she told him to ‘wait 30 minutes’ for a table.

Dayanna, who has gained more than 22,000 followers on Byte ByteDance after sharing the clip, blamed her mistake on Sandler’s face mask and beard.

“Not realizing its Adam Sandler and telling him it’s a 30 minute wait and him of course leaving because he’s not going to wait 30 minutes for IHOP,” she wrote at that time.

One person commented: “Adam Sandler is one of the handful of purely decent people in show business. Nope, don’t know him, but read myriad accounts of his kindness, generosity, loyalty and appreciation for the people in his life.”

Another wrote: “This would make a good movie… a guy and his kid doing the right thing in a public restaurant ! You go Adam !”

A third added: “Adam is a fine example of what we need to portray in our lives. All around a great guy.”
