If you think that puzzles are only for children then you’d better think again! Puzzles are great for problem solving and logistical thinking for people of all ages – as they always say, use it or lose it!
There are though some puzzles that children tend to solve faster than adults. That’s largely because they think differently and are able to see problems from a completely different angle. But that doesn’t mean that adults can’t challenge themselves to do the same.
So let’s see – can you solve this puzzle?
Take a look at this picture. What number should be in the place of the question mark?
Are you thinking hard?
Do you need a child’s perspective?
The correct answer is 12.
The pattern that children see is that each single denomination multiplies by 3 to equal the number opposite to it.
3 x 3 = 9
6 x 3 = 18
5 x 3 = 15
The question mark is opposite a 4.
So: 4 x 3 = 12
