Meghan Markle’s estranged half-brother is set to appear on Big Brother VIP Australia, a move that a commentator claimed would be a ‘taste of her own medicine’ for the Duchess of Sussex.
Royal expert Sarah Vine said Prince Harry and Meghan have been ‘cashing in’ on their royal connections with lucrative deals with Spotify and Netflix and high-profile interviews, the Express reported.
Meghan has a strong relationship with her mother Doria Ragland but she is estranged from her father Thomas Markle Sr. and her other relatives.
But when asked if she ‘felt sorry’ for the Duchess, Vine said: “No, I think she’s about to find out what it feels like to have someone cash in on your family, which is what the Queen has been dealing with for the last 18 months.
“She and Harry have been cashing in on their Royal Family, by cashing in on all sorts of Netflix deals and giving interviews to people and saying dreadful things.
“It’s a taste of her own medicine I reckon.”
Prince Harry and Meghan signed a multi-million-dollar deal with Spotify and Netflix to produce a range content.
In March, they conducted a two-hour interview with Oprah Winfrey where they spoke about their reasons for stepping down from their roles as senior royals.
During the bombshell interview, the couple also criticized the Royal Family, claiming the Firm ignored the Duchess of Sussex’s mental health problems and that a senior member of the Royal Family questioned their son Archie’s skin color.
The duke has recently revealed he will be publishing a memoir where he will reveal more details about his royal life.
It is believed that he received an advance payment of $20 million for the memoir.
