President Biden claims he was instructed to call upon a list of press reporters, right after the Kabul attack took place on Thursday.
Critics were surprised to see the President taking on direct questions himself. On that note, they went on to boldly ask, “Who the hell is in charge here?” because it didn’t take too long to turn into a viral moment.
President Biden definitely raised so many eyebrows after the startling incident as he started taking in questions from a number of reporters for the first time since the terror attacks took place in Kabul.
This was just a few hours after two massive suicide bombings ripped through Afghanistan’s capital, killing 13 servicemen and many other Afghan nationals.
Right after the shocking incident, US President Joe Biden opted to break his silence, despite the immense pressure surrounding him and his government, since the recent Kabul attack.
Biden offered a somber message to the American nation, as military withdrawal and evacuation efforts continued from Kabul. The President promised to take revenge for the innocent American lives lost adding, ‘We will find you and we will hunt you down!”
While it is usually deemed normal for Biden to rely on his list of pre-selected team of reporters, this time he made a rather stunning decision.
“Ladies and gentlemen, they have given me a particular list over here,” he went on to add. “The very first person that I have been instructed to call includes Kelly O’Donnell from the NBC,” and that’s how he began his much-talked-about press conference.
Other common individuals who received a call included a correspondent from Reuters Trevor Hunnicutt as well as a member from the Associated Press named Aamer Madhani.
Suddenly, the President went off of his script and called upon a correspondent from NPR named Franco Ordonez.
In the same way, he even sparred with Fox News reporter Peter Doocy too.
