A mother residing in Brazil stabbed and murdered her son after a fight with her spouse.
Millena Iris Santos, residing in Brazil, has killed her 3-year-old son Marcos Paulo Vieira. For this, she has been sentenced to spend 29 years and 6 months in prison.
She brutally stabbed little Marcos in an attempt to kill him in 2019. Mellina not only killed her son but also stabbed herself later using a knife to kill herself as well. Overall, this incident was very sorrowful.
According to their neighbors, the couple fought before the murder.
Their loud voices could be heard clearly in their neighborhood indicating the severity of the row between them. Later Mellina and her husband got separated due to many unsolved matrimonial issues. The countless marital problems between Mellina and her husband affected her too much.
A close friend of the murderer also noticed the bad condition of her married life. She was depressed to no end. Sources revealed that Mellina also posted her picture to a famous social media site, which gave a hint of her loveless married life.
Mellina’s attempt to kill herself failed. People took her to the hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, her son died on the spot.
She was charged with the killing of her son, on 11th December 2019 during her recovery in the hospital. She even tried to prove that she was having a psychotic episode when she stabbed her son. Later Mellina accepted her crime. She was sentenced to spend a little more than 29 years in jail, in her 20s.
After some time, she was taken to preventive custody in Santarem. She will go back to the same prison to complete the rest of her punishment.
