American entrepreneur, businessman, and investor Marc Lore revealed his plan of building the world’s first woke city named Telosa.
Marc Lore is a former Walmart executive and an e-commerce billionaire. He is pursuing his dream to build the world’s first woke city named ‘Telosa’.
Marc Lore claims that Telosa will be the fairest and open inclusive city on planet Earth. The land where Telosa is going to set up will be donated to a community endowment. Lore has a net worth of almost $4 billion today. He founded Quidsi, a company that owned e-commerce sites including diapers.
com, and later sold it to Amazon for around $545 million in 2010. He founded another website referred to as Jet.com in 2012 and sold it to Walmart in 2016. Later, he became the CEO of a famous company in America, referred to as Walmart U.S. eCommerce.
The initial phase of Lore’s project has a target to get completed by 2030. It will be able to accommodate 50,000 residents on almost 1,500 acres and will cost $25 billion.
After 40 years, the city will eventually require $400 billion in funding. The exact location of Telosa is not confirmed yet. Although, the possible sites for Telosa include Nevada, Idaho, Arizona, Utah, and Texas.

Marc Lore has hired Bjarke Ingels Group to design Telosa. It is an architectural firm based in Copenhagen. From the initial design, it is confirmed that the city will consist of self-moving and self-driving cars. Another idea is to build a skyscraper called Equitism tower.
This Equitism tower will have an energy-producing roof. There will be plenty of space for pedestrians to stroll in the city.
According to Sarah Moser, the chances of Lore’s success are close to zero as in the past, almost 150 city building projects started but didn’t work out due to private interests and problems from the government.
