Jiennah Crayton, the wife of a US Marine Soldier who died in the Kabul blast, gave birth to a daughter on Monday and named her after her late father.
This heart-wrenching news brought tears in eyes of everyone. A 20-year-old widow gave birth to a healthy girl Levi Rylee on Monday.
Her 20-year-old spouse a brave soldier of US marine, was killed on August 26, 2021, in the ISIS-K blast in Afghanistan.
The late father of the newly born, Rylee McCollum, was sent to Afghanistan as evacuations started but died later while manning an airport checkpoint.
US Marine solider, Rylee McCollum, graduated two years ago from Jackson Hole High School in Wyoming and then joined the US Marine Corps. He married Jiennah in February 2021 and was living happily with her in Vegas.
Crayton named her daughter ‘Levi Rylee Rose’ after her late father. She announced the birth of her newly born in a Facebook post showing her immense love for her daughter. She even penned a poem for Levi, letting the know how much she need her after the death of her spouse.
Jill Miller Crayton, the mother of Jiennah Crayton, disclosed the devastated state of her daughter. According to her, Jiennah is ‘crushed’ to hear about the death of her husband.
Moreover, she proclaimed that she never got a chance to meet Rylee McCollum in person, but she is sure that he was undoubtedly a wonderful man.
She further exclaimed that she was satisfied seeing the happiness radiating off her daughter’s face after getting married to McCollum.
Jiennah’s mother highly appreciated the love and respect that was given to Jiennah by her husband. She also shared her own story at this moment. Her husband died when she was two months pregnant with her son. For her it’s awful that her daughter also faced this situation.
The death of this soldier is very upsetting, but one can do nothing in matters of fate.
