Meet the mum who says she much rather spend her days in jail than return back home to her kids as the pressure of home-schooling was just too much.
For many, getting out of jail is probably one of the most awaited days of their lives. However, this mother is making headlines for her unthinkable choices that are seemingly baffling for obvious reasons.
40-year-old Zara Xenitopoulos who hails from Kingsville recently pleaded guilty to several charges including property damage. Moreover, what really made her case unique is when her own defense lawyer revealed how the great pressure and stress that comes with homeschooling was just too much for Zara to bear.
For this reason, this mother says she would much rather remain in jail happily than return to that stressful atmosphere that she feels has led her to some really bad things.
The bold Australian mother who has four children claims she had a very tragic past that will force her to remain behind bars because that’s the only way she can stop herself from getting tangled up in the stressful home-school environment.
The mother of five went on to explain how the ordeal left her in a very bad place mentally and that includes taking part in a series of crimes as well as the uptake of drugs.
Moreover, the 40 year old from Kingsville explained at her recent hearing in a Magistrates Court how in early 2020, she had gone about relapsing on drugs like meth and then even committed to damaging other people’s property.
Meanwhile, Zara’s own lawyer says that his client was forced to sell stolen goods and enter the world of drugs because she felt that was the only way out, in terms of standing miles away from the home-schooling pressure that was taking a toll on her.
New reports from the Herald Sun explain how the mum of four has recently denied her rights to bail, and would much rather prefer to spend her time in jail.
