A deaf man was reportedly beaten down to the ground by cops in Colorado because he simply couldn’t understand what they were saying.
Local media outlets confirmed how the man could only communicate with others using sign language. But he soon found himself in a horrifying situation when the cops he confronted engaged with him in the most violent manner because he simply couldn’t understand what their commands were.
The shocking details relating to the case were revealed recently in a recent lawsuit that was filed under the federal court.
Brady Mistic revealed how helpless he felt when the cops slammed him down to the ground and then began to beat as well as electrocute him too during the awful arrest.
The incident which reportedly took place in Idaho Springs took a wild twist when the cops decided to wrongly jail the individual for a further four months. Brady tried several attempts to make the officers understand how he just couldn’t hear or understand what they were saying but that didn’t go in his favor.
The officers just kept getting upset and that’s when they took the final decision to wrongly jail him for nearly four months, the lawsuit went on to add. In addition, the lawsuit explained how Brady was accused by cops of running over a stop sign in the year 2019.
He was then accused of pulling himself into a laundromat and then opted to walk towards that business. Little did he know that officers, who had also been named in the lawsuit, were following this individual.
“Brady was blindsided by the officers’ lights including a spotlight that was shunned by them into his eyes. He simply had zero clue as to what was really going on. It was just all a very puzzling incident for him. What were the police doing and why were they doing this, he was clueless,” the lawsuit revealed.
Since Brady couldn’t even read lips, they all turned against him in seconds and before he knew it, the officers slammed him down to the ground, showing no remorse for his condition.
