Even before she tied the knot with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle already had an astounding acting career that she juggled with her blog The Tig.
After stepping down as a working royal, the mother-of-two has returned to holding many different roles and even signed multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently announced that they were entering the world of fiancé as they became investors and ‘impact partners’ of a sustainable investment company Ethic.
In a 2015 interview with InStyle magazine, Meghan shared some of her biggest tips on how to become a ‘girl boss.’
“I think the biggest part of being a girl boss in the office, at home, or anywhere you go is just knowing your value.
“As you get older, you become more comfortable in your skin and comfortable in saying ‘no’ to things. Rachel is an example of that on television, and as The Tig has grown as a brand, I’ve also learned that saying ‘no’ is just as valuable as saying ‘yes.’”
“It’s something that, I think, comes with age and really having a sense of your self-worth. And then you make choices based on that,” Meghan added.
The former actress also said that you should have a ‘power piece’ in your wardrobe and advised staying out of drama.
“I think in life and in the office, it’s best to stay out of the drama. You’ll be endlessly happier for it,” she advised.
Meghan and Harry have signed business deals since they stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US.
One is with Spotify, which is reported to be worth $25 million to produce podcasts that promote ‘diverse and inspiring voices.’
They also signed a deal with Netflix, which could be worth $150 million.
