Alec Baldwin was pictured searching frantically through the woods near his property in Vermont after the family’s cat had gone missing.
The embattled 63-year-old actor, who has reportedly been “struggling” after accidentally shooting and killing photography director Halyna Hutchins on the Rust movie set, was struck by another incident after his pet cat Emilio went missing.
Emilio, an adorable spotted feline, went missing in Vermont after Baldwin and his family paid a visit to their remote property in an attempt to take some time off.
“We can’t find our cat, Emilio. If anyone sees him, please help him get home. We are all so upset. He’s microchipped but no collar. The local police know, so if you find him, please contact them,” Alec’s wife Hilaria wrote on Instagram as she asked the internet for help.
Following her post, DailyMail.com spotted Baldwin searching for Emilio in the woods near the family’s property. The actor was pictured wearing black pants and a T-shirt and looked rather unkempt as he wandered the area.
Fortunately, the disappearance didn’t last for long and Emilio was soon found alive. Though the cat had suffered a broken leg, the family hopes it will fully recover from its injuries.
“We found him. Thank you to all of those who helped. I’m so grateful, beyond words,” Hilaria wrote in her Instagram update.
She also took the opportunity to take a jab at the paparazzi who have been restlessly following her family following the Santa Fe shooting.
“I won’t mention you because the paparazzi and tabloid media are calling every single connection to us, and I don’t want you to be harassed too, in their frenzy to make more money,” she added.
“As I write this, there are people, taking my picture, through the trees of the property we are staying at. They have not respected our ask to have space, even after the interview we pulled over to do the other day.
“We have been chased around in cars—with our children. Several scary moments… this is dangerous. Please listen.”
