While entering into labor and delivering a baby is no simple ordeal, one woman is stunning audiences after explaining how she was done and dusted in less than ten minutes.
23-year-old Katie Covell who hails from Leeds in West Yorkshire says she gave birth at the aisles of her local grocery store.
Yes, the young mother opted to step out for some fresh air and ended up taking a stroll at her local grocery store called Morrisons. And before she knew it, she was in labor and even managed to get through delivery, without stepping inside a hospital.
While popping to the stores at 40 weeks pregnant isn’t the smartest decision to make, this young woman says she felt that a change in scenery was just what she needed. But little did she know that she’d be coming back home with a baby by her side.
“I knew I was three days overdue but this was not what I was expecting,” she went on to explain. “I had never felt so uneasy and uncomfortable in my life,” explained the young mom.
“All of a sudden, while I was buying nappies for my child, I felt a twinge and I knew immediately that something was not right.”
“There was a sharp pain and it tore right through me as I gasped and then collapsed to the ground,” she began to explain. And that’s when her contractions started to come strong and real quick.
After screaming from the agony of her pain, the supermarket cleaner who was on duty nearby rushed to her side.
The staff of Morrissons was nice enough to set up a whole curtain around her that protected her privacy. The cleaner did not leave the mom’s side, urging her to continue pushing and how she could do it.
“When I saw my baby boy born on the shop floor, I couldn’t believe it,” she explained.
The fact that the 23-year-old just delivered her first child alone and so quickly was beyond her wildest imaginations.
