For most couples, the wedding day is one of the happiest days of their lives and they want to make sure that it will be memorable.

Many people try to be creative when it comes to their wedding celebrations but sometimes, not everything goes according to their plans.

One newlywed couple just experienced that kind of disappointment after they fell to the ground when the swing carrying them suddenly snapped while they were making a grand entrance during their extravagant wedding celebration.

The bride and groom from central India wanted to make a dramatic entrance by standing on a suspended platform surrounded by multi-colored fireworks.

A video showed the moment a harness snapped and the couple plummeted to the ground in front of their horrified guests.

According to reports, the couple sustained minor injuries and they immediately carried on with the event less than an hour later.

The viral clip, which has been viewed thousands of times on social media, showed the bride and groom slowly rising on the swing until the harness snapped.

Dancers on the stage quickly ran away as the swing crashed down.

The event management company has apologized for the accident and no complaint has been filed.

An employee from the company told NDTV: “No one suffered injuries in the incident. The bride and the groom are safe.”

One Twitter user who watched the video said: “If I was the event management, I’d be worried.”

Another wrote: “How scary – thankfully the bride and groom are okay.”

A third added: “Looks like the fireworks on the cage burnt through the cable holding it up. Not the brightest move.”
