One mother is going public on how she prefers saving during the holiday season by gifting her children used or second-hand presents.

 

While the festive season has many exceeding their budgets in terms of shopping for loved ones, this one mother is turning heads with her secret and successful formula to put smiles on kids’ faces.

As it is, Christmas is a holiday that many can’t get enough of. Therefore, this mother of three claims that giving out secondhand gifts that appear brand new is the best way to move forward, adding how her kids never find out.

“I choose to give used because it’s as good as new and I’m saving hundreds along the way,” the excited and jolly mother explained. 

24-year-old Harriet Knock who hails from North Devon explains how there’s nothing to be ashamed about, despite what others may think of her. 

“I have three beautiful kids and they mean the world to me, but they would never know the real difference between going frugal versus spending big bucks,” she explained. 

This year, the mother of three has spent only 300 Pounds on presents that would normally cost so much more. In addition to that, she says that it’s super disgusting to see how landfills keep getting filled with so much plastic due to excess plastic toys. 

Therefore, the mother who also works as an influencer says that her goal is to not only spread a great message to the masses but also teach her kids the value of kindness, effort, and money as things don’t come cheap. 

But with the good did come some negatives by plenty who felt the mother shouldn’t be so thrifty with loves ones, especially when it comes to your own kids. 

“I’ve got no shame in making second-hand purchases and you shouldn’t too,” she concluded.
