A cheeky 5-year-old boy ordered $1,200 worth of Gelato Messina after he managed to access his dad’s phone.
The young boy from Australia used his dad’s Uber Eats app to buy ice cream but it ended up costing his parents hundreds of dollars!
The ice cream company shared the hilarious story on Instagram, showing a text message that explains how the boy accessed his dad’s phone to order everything he wanted.
His order included six boxes of mouthwatering ice cream, 14 jars of Dulce de Leche spread, five bottles of milk, and seven cakes!
Messina said that there was so much more on the list that the frantic dad had to give many sweets away to his colleagues.
The young boy’s antics ended up costing his parents $1,200. The price tag was jaw-dropping and the receipt looked like it would stand taller than the kid.
Because of what happened, this dad wanted to eat everything so nothing goes to waste. He also shared many of the top-notch quality milk and ice cream with his mates.
There is no doubt that the dad will be changing his phone’s code to make sure his son won’t do it again!
It is not uncommon for kids to use their parents’ phones to order goods. In San Diego, a 2-year-old went viral for ordering a three-seater sofa from Amazon while playing with her mother’s device.
Isabella McNeil couldn’t believe it when she received a notification saying her new sofa was already on the way.
She initially thought that she had ‘ordered it in her sleep’ until she realized that her daughter, Rayna, was the one who bought it after she’d previously given the phone to her.
“She grabbed my phone like she usually does to play with it and the Amazon app was still open and she hit the buy now with 1 click button by accident,” the mother-of-two shared at that time.
“I didn’t realise it until I got a notification saying your couch has shipped (at) which point I couldn’t cancel in time.”
