This is a shocking moment a mother jumped into an alligator pit along with her young son just to retrieve her wallet.
A video of the wild incident that happened at the Safari North Wildlife Park in Minnesota shows a young boy in a lime green t-shirt running around the gator pit as other visitors watch and tell him to stay away from the small predators.
His mother can be seen throwing rocks and sticks at the small alligators to make them swim away so she can get her wallet.
Children watching in the background can be heard yelling as the mother tries to retrieve her pink purse.
The brave mom managed to pull her purse out of the water after sending the alligators away.
Sources told TMZ that zoo officials were not happy by the incident. Staff only learned of the brave stunt after watching the video.
Zoo employees also want to press charges against the mother for child endangerment.
Safari North Wildlife Park has fences and signs to keep both the animals and parkgoers safe.
One internet user commented: “A small gator CAN drag a young child under and drown him – thats actually how gators kill their prey, then they eat them at leisure while the carcass rots underwater.”
Another wrote: “Nice job, got it back no one got eaten and put on a free show for the other people visiting. She must be stoked and now famous for 15 mins. Probably not looking forward to the potential child endangerment hearing though.”
A third added: “I can see doing this if she had like $1000 or the last known picture of a deceased relative in the wallet but bringing the child in there with her gives her zero credibility.”
