Rapper Travis Scott has reportedly distributed toys to more than 2000 children coming from needy families in his hometown of Houston, Texas.
The rapper hopes to spread a little holiday cheer and play a role in spreading smiles after the massive Astroworld Festival tragedy had many blaming the star and the show’s organizers for the disaster that killed 10 concertgoers.
The 30-year-old star partnered up with his Cactus Jack Charity Foundation to give out toys to children coming from needy families or struggling families, as reported by TMZ recently.
All the gifts being donated are getting delivered to the six Houston Housing Authority complexes that happen to be situated over the city. The goal target is to cover all the families before Christmas day.
Images from the distribution of one of the centers showed a number of families eagerly lining up to get their hands on the toys for their young ones. The gifts included a number of times such as dolls, pianos, scooters, golf sets, and many more.
The Cactus Jack Foundation is Travis Scott’s charity that was initially launched in the year 202o. It was made with the initiative to empower as well as enrich so many young lives by giving them access to education as well a number of leading creative resources that ensure their long-term success.
Travis Scott has one daughter of his own and is expecting another child with girlfriend Kylie Jenner soon.
This generous act of kindness comes just two months after the deadly Astroworld Festival, which was held in November of this year.
A total of 10 people were killed in the accident with the youngest victim being identified as Ezra Blount. All the victims ranged from the age of 14 to 27, whereas 3oo people were injured and then treated at the festival’s location while 25 were rushed to a nearby hospital.
