Have you ever had a package stolen from your front door? I know I have.
It left me both frustrated and confused. I spent money on an item that was successfully delivered to me but taken by someone walking or driving past.
The worst part is that many companies won’t replace stolen packages once they’re delivered. And if you live in a building where there’s no place for packages to go except for your front door, you may stop ordering things off of the internet altogether.
If this has ever happened to you, then the following video should give you a good laugh.
One man came up with a plan to get back at a persistent package thief who are stealing from him and his neighbors. And the result is, well, stinky to say the least!

Tom Mabe was tired of deliveries being stolen from him and his neighbors. It didn’t just happen once, but it was a regular occurrence. Someone was repeatedly stealing from them.
In a stroke of creativity, Tom and his neighbor Bob came up with a plan to catch the thief.
They decided to build a decoy box. The box looks like a regular package, but it has a secret. It’s rigged.
Tom and Bob set up cameras on Tom’s front porch and waited for the package thief to come by.

Lucky for them, and unlucky for the thief, he did come by. He circled the block a few times in a car before hopping out and grabbing the package from Tom’s home.
Tom, Bob, and a few neighbors waited with anticipation.
The decoy box was set up with a 40-second timer. After being moved, the box with explode into a stinky mess. That’s right, Tom and Bob made the box into a poop bomb.
The man grabbed the box and walked back to the car. After driving only a few feet down the block, they watched him jump out, now dealing with a very smelly situation.

Tom and Bob had a good laugh. Their prank may seem a bit cruel, but it was certainly effective. I have no doubt the thief will think twice before stealing another package that doesn’t belong to him.
Because he’ll never know if one of those boxes is going to be a decoy box…
