Being in a relationship can be a tricky affair, especially when it comes down to sorting out your finances.

Here is a unique story about one woman who happens to be earning way more than her boyfriend. And after finding out the exact amount of money she makes, her lover is making some demands, that’s leaving her confused.

The couple’s story was put up on the online platform of Reddit where plenty of people had a debate regarding the bizarre circumstances that their relationship surrounded.

While the man is a doctor, his partner works as a social media manager she’s doing really good for herself.

At 22, the woman made the decision to move in with her boyfriend after the couple spent nearly 1.5 years dating. Before the duo entered the relationship, she had an apartment on rent, as opposed to her boyfriend who happened to live in a house on mortgage.

Before the couple took the big step to move in, they thought it would be best in both of their interest to discuss finances. And that’s when the big salary reveal came into play.

Startled as ever, the boyfriend was mindblown to learn about his partner’s income. Moreover, he even laughed it off by asking her to tell the amount she earned per month and not the year.

The woman again said the same amount and he was speechless as that was not what he was expecting her to make by miles.

However, after the shock finally wore off, he feels that she should be the one paying half of his mortgage since she makes way more than him.

But that has left the woman in a bizarre and confusing position as she wasn’t expecting him to say something like this.

“I was taken aback a little. I mean I was definitely going to contribute to the groceries and utilities and also offer to do some cooking but I think this is a little outrageous,” she explained.
