Relationships are solely based upon trust but for this one couple, a lack of communication led to a huge misunderstanding that has brought them away from each other.
One man has put forward his relationship in the public eye through the Reddit platform, hoping for assistance from complete strangers. And that’s where he revealed how his girlfriend bought a house using her money for the two of them.
However, when it came down to putting the name, she opted to only add hers. And now, he feels offended because he’s always wanted them to grow together as one but this recent decision has him in doubt over her intentions.
The boyfriend says he requested his lover to have both of their names on the legal document but she blatantly refused. And while she does feel guilty, she still hasn’t changed it.
The couple has been together for the past four years and moved in together about two years back in an apartment. But soon, it was time to grow and move into a bigger house that was funded by his girlfriend, after her new job.
As far as work is concerned, the boyfriend hasn’t been too lucky and only manages to make the bare minimum wage. However, he supported his girlfriend with her decision to buy a house and even assisted her with the house-hunting process.
The duo agreed to split up the mortgage at a 50/50 ratio but since the girlfriend’s salary is more, she’ll be looking after most of the expenses.
Now that the house has been selected and the signing is due in a few weeks, this one decision has brought a gap in their relationship.
“It is supposed to be our house”- the boyfriend continues to argue but since the duo is not married and doesn’t play on tying the knot anytime soon, his lover disagrees with his opinion
