It’s absolute mayhem in Moscow as leading fast-food chain McDonald’s succumbs to western pressure, becoming the latest franchise to shut down all of its businesses across Russia.

The McDonald’s branch was reportedly swamped by hundreds of people who wished to get one final Big Mac before all 850 stores shut down until further notice.

According to local media reports, McDonald’s made the decision on Tuesday that it would be temporarily shutting down all operations across Russia due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In response to that very announcement, so many people were quicker than ever to rush to a nearby fast-food outlet to grab their hands on a Big Mac as orders came flying through the roof before the store shut down.

Meanwhile, one eye witness in Moscow who happened to witness the drama scenes unfold before his eyes explained how he had seen nothing like it before.

“The line of cars stretched for days. It was almost half a mile long just to get a fast-food meal. It’s quite evident how Russians are paying the price of Putin’s decisions”- he stated.

As it is, so many Russian citizens are reportedly finding it so hard to purchase an array of western goods as most of the western brands have placed sanctions, left and right.

Hundreds of cars began to queue in the daunting chilly weather as they anxiously awaited for a warm and comforting fast food meal.

As so many bombs continue to fall from the sky in Ukraine, one video showed how so many Russians were displeased with the sanctions as the iconic restaurant’s giant M sign was seen glowing in yellow. And that was a clear indication of how many were not loving the idea.

McDonald’s joined hands with Starbucks and Coca-Cola to support and solidarity with Ukraine during these testing times of war.
